Except as expressly stated in Section 2 (Discretionary Courtesy Exceptions) or required by Section 3 (Mandatory Legal Rights), ALL PURCHASES OF FILEGRIFFON LICENSES — INCLUDING SUBSCRIPTION PAYMENTS AND LIFETIME LICENSE PURCHASES — ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE.
This applies regardless of whether you have used the Software, and regardless of your reason for requesting a refund, including but not limited to: change of mind, purchasing by mistake, dissatisfaction with features, discovering a free/cheaper alternative, or no longer needing the Software.
You are strongly encouraged to evaluate the Free tier and/or the Trial (see the Terms of Service & EULA, Section 5) BEFORE purchasing a paid License.
Notwithstanding Section 1, FileGriffon MAY, at its sole and absolute discretion, issue a full or partial refund as a courtesy in circumstances it considers warranted — for example (non-exhaustive, illustrative only, not a checklist you are entitled to satisfy): - a clearly accidental duplicate purchase, - a verified billing error attributable to FileGriffon or its payment processor, - a Software defect that FileGriffon is unable to resolve within a reasonable time after being reported, materially preventing the Software's core functionality.
A courtesy refund granted in one instance, to you or to any other customer, creates no precedent, expectation, or entitlement for any future request, by you or anyone else, and does not modify Section 1. FileGriffon may decline any refund request under this Section without providing a reason, and its decision is final.
To request a courtesy refund, contact filegriffon.com">support@filegriffon.com with your order/license reference and the reason for the request.
Where applicable law grants you a non-waivable right to a refund, withdrawal, or cancellation that this Policy cannot lawfully override, that right applies regardless of Section 1, to the extent — and only to the extent — required by that law. If you believe a mandatory right applies to your purchase, contact us and, where relevant, consult your local consumer-protection authority.
Purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), acting as Merchant of Record for these transactions. Because Paddle is the seller of record, it may operate its own buyer-protection or refund-handling process independent of this Policy. Where Paddle's own policies require it to issue a refund it is contractually or legally obligated to provide, this Policy does not purport to override that obligation.
Cancelling an active Pro Subscription stops future renewal charges but, consistent with Section 1, does not itself entitle you to a refund of the current billing period already paid for — you retain access through the end of the period you already paid for, then the Subscription lapses per the Terms of Service & EULA (paid features pause, nothing is deleted).
Please contact us first. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute instead of requesting a courtesy refund under Section 2, where the underlying charge is valid and undisputed as to authorization, may result in immediate suspension of your License under the Terms of Service & EULA, independent of whatever the payment-network dispute process ultimately decides.
Email filegriffon.com">support@filegriffon.com with: your order/license reference, the email address used at purchase, and a brief description of the issue. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
This Policy may be updated from time to time; the version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase, except where a later mandatory-legal-rights update (Section 3) applies retroactively because the underlying law itself requires it.
